Podiatry Services
PODIATRY SERVICES
Who Is Eligible
All covered members are entitled to Podiatry Services. The spouse /domestic partner of a covered member is also entitled to these services.
What Are The Services
The Welfare Fund provides Podiatry Services for a broad range of foot problems, including:
1. Relief of corn, nail and bunion pain;
2. Treatment of strains, arch problems and “tired feet”;
3. Setting of fractures;
4. Surgical and acid treatment of planter’s warts;
5. Treatment of flat feet and other deformities;
6. Treatment of sports related problems and injuries;
7. Treatment of heel spurs and associated bursitis;
8. Surgical correction of nail problems and removal of ingrown toenails.
How To Obtain The Service
Podiatry Services are rendered by personal appointment at the Fund Podiatrist’s Office located in the SSEU Local 371 Dental Facility at 1501 Broadway, Suite 450 New York, NY 10036. Services are provided at no out of pocket expense. To schedule an appointment, call (212) 473-4700.
NOTE: This benefit does not cover services that are provided under the member’s health insurance plan e.g., in hospital and/or out-patient surgical procedures.
